Garage "Break Ins"

Posted in: Washington Park East
During the last holiday season, I had my summer tires, on alloy wheels and a mtn bike taken from my garage. As a neighborhood watch captain, I think we need to start thinking about ways we can curb garage theft (I know this is prevalent around our neighborhood).
Any ideas? Comments? Thank you...

Thanks to Denver Police

On several occasions, there have been Police cruisers in the alley behind my house making random checks of what is going on back there. I applaud their efforts.

It seems that the more people who use their garage for parking instead of parking on the street, the more likely we are to prevent undesirable alley activity. So, I guess my general suggestion is to clean out our collective garages enough to put cars in, and use them more.
Use burglar alarm stickers

I suggest that you put large burglar alarm warning stickers on all of your garage doors as a deterrent (whether or not you actually have an alarm system).
