Tom and I are nearing the time to order more hay. We buy from Cowboy Hay and there's a 5 ton minimum for delivery. They stack the hay for you! Anyone interested in pooling a hay purchase by the end of August? We want alfalfa, but I think he also sells grass and maybe can combine the two. Let us know.

Another hay source

Through Wayne and Janet Doughty we have a new alfalfa hay source at $4/ bale. The hay is about 2 miles away and comes from Nebraska. This is stack it yourself hay, but the quality is excellent. If we can pool enough buyers together we can have a semi-truck delivered to a central point in Livengood Hills. The other hay source, Cowboy Hay is still available, stacked and delivered. They don't charge the $75 delivery with a minimum 5 ton order which is how this hay pool got started in the first place. Either source, if you're interested in pooling a hay order let us know.
