An Update on DSL in Foxfield

Below is a note sent to Qwest from Alan M. regarding DSL or HSI service for Foxfield. I will update this forum on any replies we get from Qwest.

>>Dave,
I am interested in DSL capabilities on two levels: for my personal use and for the Town of Foxfield.

1. I would like to find out how to get DSL, or other high speed services, to my home address in Foxfield, Colorado. Today I have no options. Comcast does not provide even basic cable TV service to my address. Sprint wireless to Boulder Mountain is not available.

2. As a member of the Foxfield Town Council I am interested in high speed internet access, and potentially other high speed services, for our residents. Foxfield is an incorporated town of 289 houses. The Town is located on the SE corner of Parker Road and Arapahoe Road.

Additional Foxfield information:

New commercial development in planned for the corner of Arapahoe and Parker.
The Town has approved a bond issue to pave all the roads in the spring of 2003.

Chris Gates, Qwest Senior Design Engineer, has confirmed that Qwest has a SLC-2000 located in the 7200 block of S. Buckley Road.
Will you please assist me to determine where Foxfield is on the list to get DSL and/or VDSL? Thank you for your assistance.

Happy Holidays!

I'm not in Foxfield, but we like the service we get from ECentral (www.ecentral.com)... they're local (Denver), been around forever, and if you have trouble getting connected you can speak with a real, local human being instead of Qwest's outsourced tech of the week.  If Qwest has installed DSL in the area, give ECentral a try...
