Why is Marie MacKenzie criticizing Arapahoe County? This is disturbing. We have an elected official criticizing her County. If she is disatisfied with being a Comissioner why is she still in office.

Marie I voted for you in the past but I will never vote for you again. To criticize Arapahoe County means that you no longer want to hold office. You have made my decision easy.

MacKenzie Bad Mouths Arap.County

I am in receipt of a 3 page letter from Marie MacKenzie and paid for by the Committee to Re-elect Marie MacKenzie, criticizing Arapahoe County. This is the same county whose citizens have elected her to represent them equally and fairly regardless of how they stand on the issue of disbanding. As a duly elected official of Arapahoe County, why is she taking a position against Arapahoe County?

She has stated numerous reasons why Arapahoe County is harmful to the residents of our area. What is an elected Araphoe County commissioner doing criticizing the county? Shouldn't she be a proponent of the County? Did she forget that she represents us with Arapahoe County?

Does the committee to re-elect Marie know that she is using her war chest for non-reelction issues? Is she doing something illegal or unethical with her re-election funds?

Marie, stop espousing your personal opinions under the guise of an Arapahoe County Commissioner. Stop using re-election committee funds to criticize Arapahoe County. Do the people donating funds to your re-election campaign know that you are demeaning the county you are supposedly representing? Do the other Arapahoe County commissioners know that you are criticizing Arapahoe County? They will after today.

If you have a personal opinion, voice it as such and not by hiding behind your elected position. You need to excuse yourself from this debate.

You must have a different version of the letter than I received. The copy I received states only facts. She is only pointing out the fact that the concerns of Foxfield residents are of little interest to the 500,000 residents of Arapahoe county. After all, there are fewer than 1,000 residents who live here! The rest of the county simply doesn't care what happens in our community.

I'm not sure what ''non-reelction issues'' are, but check the letter head and stamp cancellation. She mailed these with her own money.

Correction on who paid for Marie

You wrote ''she (Marie Mackenzie) mailed these with her own money.''

But on the bottom of page one it states this: ''Paid for by the Committee to Elect Marie Mackenzie Treasurer Pat Kooi.''

Thanks for your ''take'' on her letter. I got the opposite ''take.'' To me, the letter came across as a suggestion to stay away from Arapahoe County. Perhaps it would be best for her to recuse herself to avoid a conflict of interest. We still need her as our Commissioner, regardless of who ends up providing us our services in exchange for accepting our property taxes.
