Thanks for joining us on the Internet. RTD has a website which offers a wealth of material at www.RTD-Denver.com -- that includes route and schedule information, news of upcoming events, employment opportunities, and so forth. We invite you to visit it.
I work on planning routes and schedules for the west area of the District, and if you would like to contact me directly, my e-mail address is rr10896@rtd-denver.com. We don't have
a fancy mail system, but this does offer a very convenient and direct method of
communication.
Of special interest is the recent improvement in service at the Ward Road park-n-Ride, used by residents of your area. Just before the Christmas vacation period, we added an extra A.M. "tripper" bus to help with the fast-growing ridership on Rte 72X - Ward Road
Express. This was done on an emergency basis, and was dropped for the holiday period when ridership declines.
The tripper will be back in January, and at the last minute we have added Rte 72X to the list of new timetables coming out for January 11th - there will be new trips in the morning and afternoon periods starting with that schedule date. Brochures with more information
for you have already been sent to the printer and will be distributed on buses and in our stations. If you would like me to post the new times here, just post a note on this bulletin board prior to January 11th.
This additional service was added because the number of standees from the park-n-Ride regularly exceeded standards adopted by our Board of Directors. We're pleased to be able to respond in this manner to people who "vote with their seats" for improved service.
