We are developing a mission statement - Natasha suggested this: Here an idea for a possible mission statement:



Bringing together and engaging people who are interested in the preservation, education, and heritage of Des Moines, Iowa. To preserve the heritage of the land, buildings, and personal history of Des Moines residents from its inception to present day times for the purpose of research and educating the public.

The purpose (i.e. mission statement) include in the bylaws is:  "The purpose of the DMHS is to promote the preservation and study of the history and heritage of Des Moines, Iowa."
