The District 8 Neighborhood Alliance is suggested as a new entity to be formed, comprising representatives of all the neighborhoods located within the San Antonio City Council District 8 area, on the northwest side of the city.

District 8 covers a very wide area centered along IH-10, ranging from Callahan Road on the south, to Culebra Road on the west, Blanco Road on the east, to the city limits near Ralph Fair Road and the Dominion. It reaches up and around Castle Hills, Shavano Park and Leon Valley City limits, plus Camp Bullis and Fair Oaks Ranch to the north.
District 8 is a business and research center. It is the second largest business district in the City of San Antonio.
Population
According to the 2000 census, there are about 120,000 residents living in District 8 (see the Census Report in the Community Pages section). There are 65 recognized Neighborhood Associations in District 8 registered with the City of San Antonio. Along with the many vibrant businesses and community improvement organizations, the associations can anticipate organized communications with the City about reaching joint goals for the district and city.
