Garage/Yard Sale Sign Thief!!!!!!!

Posted in: Dixon Branch

I think it is down right disgusting that someone feels they have the right to take signs placed, with permission in our neighbors yards.

Especially in this down time of the economy.

the ability to haver and hold a yard sale is a freedom that enables us to make a small return on items worth reselling.

We paid good money to advertise for a small weekend yard sale. And our efforts were cut short dew to this person that basically STOLE these signs from us.

We are very responsible neighbors and have been in the neighborhood for over six years. This is only our second yard sale.

I totally agree with you.  It's very hard to hold a garage sale when you are only allowed to have signs in your front yard!  Unfortunately, this is per city of Dallas code enforcement.  My suggestion for your next sale is to advertise in a local paper like the White Rocker.   BTW, this a wonderful neighborhood ... been here 28+ yrs

Yes, we've all lost signs to the Code Enforcement folks...hundreds of dollars for signs advertising neighborhood functions especially. Heck, you can even get a ticket if you post a sign in that pesky no-zone area of your yard between the street and the sidewalk. I have to mow it but it's not mine: that's hard to swallow.  Great neighborhood...everything is kept clean so I guess I have to take the good with the bad.
