The Dallas City Council is being asked by a natural gas drilling company to give it access to public lands so they can extract natural gas by hydraulic fracturing. Fort Worth and the surrounding cities are very sorry they allowed these drilling companies to drill. The emissions of very toxic gases like benzene and arsenic have been found as a result, to name a few, which are polluting our air and water system. Remember we get our water from surrounding lakes where drilling is being done. The value of some homes in Denton County has dropped by 75%. Do we want our children poisoned by flaming water and toxic air? As Dixon Branch Homeowners Association members, we need to rally and insist that our Dallas City Council vote against any drilling within our city limits.
