tools stolen

Posted in: Dobson Woods
Please be aware - we had tools stolen from a friend's truck parked in the front of our home on Monday, 3-20-06, and a truck down the street had its windows broken. We live down the street from Crismon Elem.

Did you open a police report?

What street do you live on? Also, did you open a police report.
...This may be connected

Not certain if this is connected; however, a neighbor emailed this to me in response to the ''Tools Stolen'' incident.

A Neighbor on W. Madero, which is west of Crismon, posted the following:

On Friday afternoon around 4pm, the neighbor noticed a white man about 30 years old with short brown hair (who was about 5'2'') who was wearing a flannel shirt and pants (jeans maybe) looking in the windows of the vehicles parked across the street. He continued walking west on Madero (on the south side of the street) and the neighbor saw him go into the drive way of a family who has a lot of vehicles (They have a Hummer, Corvette, Expedition, a tall white short-bed truck, and others). The neighbor watched this guy walk into their driveway and look in the vehicle windows and then saw him running west (not a jog-type run, but a sprint). Due to various issues, the neighbor choose not to phone the police. One other thing, the house with the cars has a camera mounted above their garage facing the driveway.

This neighbor attempted to open a police report on the incident this morning (03/21), based on the theft in the car ; however, since we do not have the address for the theft, we are not able to open a report.

Reminder:
Please do not hesitate to call the police when suspicious activity occurs in our neighborhood. If our neighborhood gets the reputation for calling police on the littlest incident, it becomes a much less attractive target for criminals!

Again, if anyone has any further information on the tool theft from 03/20, (address) please contact Paul at p_nehrbass@yahoo.com with information so that we can include this on the Police reports. Again, we hope to connect dots when ever possible.

Thanks once again,
Paul
tools stolen

We didn't because it was in the early a.m. hours that we noticed it and my family has a busy schedule during weekdays (need our sleep). The tools weren't locked and were in the bed of the truck, but none the less I wanted neighbors to be aware. Lesson learned for visitors to our home - do you think I should still file a report?
