About Our Club

Dominion Partnership Network, Inc.

WHO ARE WE?

Dominion Partnership Network is an inter-denominational coalition of clergy, ministers, faith organizations, business owners, community leaders, and social service agency representatives joined as partners, unified in ministry and business, to minister care, aid, and religious service to the people while helping the faith community address one of the community?’s most pervasive and devastating problems?—substance abuse.

In the Winter of 2001, a select group of clergy, people of faith, and community activists gathered for the purpose of creating a coalition bringing the possibilities of drug and alcohol treatment, awareness, prevention, intervention, education, and support to the faith communities of the greater Columbus, Ohio area.

MISSION & VISION

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower the faith community in their service to those suffering the complexity of enduring hardships brought about by a lifestyle of substance abuse and other addictions that deteriorate health and the quality of life.

OUR VISION
To bring each man, woman, and child we encounter to the existence of a life which honors God, self, and community through treatment for addiction, health management, spiritual renewal, education, and training.

Help Us Help Others

AWARENESS

Dominion Partnership Network works to create greater awareness among faith organizations about the scope of the substance abuse problem that plagues our community. The effect of substance abuse on the user is obvious, but the indirect impact on others is not as apparent. Increased incidences of HIV/AIDS, escalated criminal activity, family violence, job loss, homelessness, and the birth of drug-exposed infants are just a few of the problems associated with substance abuse.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

An understanding of addiction and prevention principles is crucial if faith organizations are to assist in the prevention, early identification, intervention, treatment, and aftercare of substance abusers. Dominion Partnership Network offers a variety of workshops and presentations designed to help faith groups prepare themselves for the time when the call for help comes.

For the faith organizations that are ready to establish a program which addresses the issues of substance abuse, Dominion Partnership Network provides hands-on training on how to implement models that work. Faith groups have the opportunity to learn from faith organizations that have set up and are utilizing effective programs.

RESOURCES & DEVELOPMENT

Dominion Partnership Network has compiled resource materials from across the country related to substance abuse faith initiatives. These materials can provide valuable assistance to faith group programs. In the future, Dominion Partnership Network will position itself to help identify potential funding sources for substance abuse programs and provide technical assistance on how to prepare a proposal.
