Since January a group of residents have been attending Community University at Freedom Regional Library and at the Marion Deihl Center. We have learned a great deal about Identifying Stakeholders and Neighborhood Assets and Building Strong Communication Skills and Strategies. We have also taken a class on Understanding our Government and Services and Strenghtening our Neighborhood Organization. We are either presently implementing some of the strategies into our daily business or will be bringing some of this information back to our Monthly meetings.
A big Druid Hills thank you goes out to our Class Leaders, Jean, Denise and Tracy. The Classes were great learning tools and these 3 women made it interesting!
To the residents that made it to these classes Thank you! Lurlean Corry, Ruthie Scott, Maggie Coleman, Tawanna Gregory, Tammie Gaston, Michael Gaston, William Gaston and Darryl Gaston. For those of you interested in attending Community University another round of classes will take place starting April 2,2008 at University City YMCA on Old Mallard Creek Road.
