Dumbarton Oaks-Hiram Clarke Community

We spoke with a city Rep today. We can now start the process of replacing our Entrance Sign at Hiram Clarke and Tiffany Dr. The sign can not obstruct the view of tracfic. We can also Repaint the Words ''Dumbarton Oaks'' on the Brick Sign at the Bridge and do a little bit of landscaping in front of the brick sign. Modest donations towards this end will help to buy wood for the sign, paint, and shrubs. We will get paint that will last, as well as shrubs that are low lying and need little or no care. Once donations are in and items are bought, an account report and receipts will be posted to our web site, and you will be able to see where your donations have been used. We will also see if some of the businesses in the area that sell these items will donate perhaps posts for the sign or flowering plants for our landscaping. Any monies left will be in the report for future projects. Your suggestions are needed and appreciated. Please mail donations no matter how small to 6750 W. Loop S., #500-Houston, Texas 77401. Include your name as we are putting together a newsletter for the web site, and a list of names of those that contribute will be posted so that others can see our generous work towards bettering our neighborhood (the amount will not be listed...names only) Also, if anyone knows anything about shrubs that need little or no water or little or no care, please email us as soon as possible!!
