East Columbus Civic Association Meeting

October 17, 2002 at 6:30-7:30pm, 2743 E. Fifth Av

The meeting was opened by the Director Jesse Dodge.
Willie Mae Smith opened the meeting with prayer.

EXOFAC Dance was discussed that will be held on Dec. 6 at the East Columbus Community Center.

Thanksgiving Dinner arrangements were discussed with the sponsors. Dinner will be held Sunday, 11-24-02 from 1:30-3:30pm. Sponsors are ECCA, St. Thomas Church, New Wine Fellowship, and Corinthian Baptist Church

NCR Project Update

Community Center Update was reviewed. Resident input was requested.
Griffin Communications discussed the draft for the neighborhood improvements.
Resident input was requested.

Nominations for officers of the ECCA were accepted.

Some controversy as to the fact that the nominating committee has not been attending the monthly meetings, but took charge of the nomination. The ballots stated that no one can vote who has not previously paid their yearly dues.

Safety by Bill Adams will be discussed more fully at November meeting because the meeting time ran over.
