Previously East Garfield Park has experienced it's ups and downs. Currently it is beginning to enjoy a re-vitalization and gaining attention. Homes run from affordable multi-family buildings, often updated or remodeled to vintage, single-family estates well over the half-million mark, with many options in between. EGP is home of the oldest of Chicago's trio of west side parks, 184 acre Garfield Park, is the home of Garfield Park Conservatory, one of the countries premier botanic gardens, providing numerous shows, events and programs.
