Finally, we have a resolution to the pedestrian traffic safety issues at the crosswalk on Linebaugh -- in front of the church -- and it should be in place by the end of October. Yes --- THIS October! It’s not the remedy we asked for, but it should work just about as well. The details of the solution will be included in the October on-line issue of the “Eagle Eye-catcher” newsletter. THANK YOU to everyone who sent e-mails to the mayor’s office about this problem, or who called. It just takes persistence. Oh -- and high volume over a short amount of time!!
Also, thank you to all of the Mobile Patrol Volunteers from Grids 18 & 10 who helped out with the school traffic issue on Ola during the first week of school (more about that in the on-line newsletter, as well). Having an active Neighborhood Watch organization is very beneficial for making positive changes within our community, as you can see; we’re lucky to have the persistent personalities that are involved in Eagle Eye!
PLEASE REMEMBER that not everyone has computer access. If you read about items of interest on our web site, and you know your neighbor doesn’t have a computer – please walk over and update him or her about the goings-on in our neighborhood. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it. Be sure to exchange phone numbers with your neighbors, as well.
