Forest Hills -- ALL OF US --- needs to take responsibility for our own.
The reckless driving is this area is WAY out of hand, and it is endangering all pedestrians -- children included. It makes the entire Forest Hills area look like we don't care about ANYTHING, especially our own children.
Ola Avenue in front of Forest Hills Elementary is a disaster area. Anyone who holds a drivers liscense should know to drop down to 15mph in a school zone. And if you are taking your kid to school, it should be obvious that you are in a school zone. Yet people are speeding, droping kids off in traffic, parking in the street, parking to where residents' driveways are blocked, leap-frogging the school buses after they pull into the circular bus driveway, AND OTHER dangerous activities. PLUS --------- people are still speeding along Linebaugh at the crosswalk in front of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church -- even with the new signs up and a warning that speeding fines will be doubled.
IF WE DON'T TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS AND ROCK CITY HALL
SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. COME ON, FOLKS ----- EMAIL THE
MAYOR'S OFFICE TO GET SOME ACTION ON THIS.
1 OR 2 PEOPLE ALONE CAN'T PULL IT OFF. And it shouldn't be just 1 or 2
people trying to fix things. WE ALL LIVE HERE. So we're ALL morally
responsible for looking out for each other, especially the children and the elderly.
A large volume of emails to the mayor's office WILL get some action. And when you email that office, a tracking number is issued to you (keep a record of it) so that whichever department they forward your complaint to WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW UP with you AND the mayor about your complaint.
If you want to discuss this any further, please either reply to this post or/& email Aquarius9721@VERIZON.net.
PLEAS DON'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE.
I LOVE MY KIDS-------------------DON'T YOU LOVE YOURS?
