I have noticed that some of you are placing cardboard in your recycling bin on Fridays, only to have it left behind. I spoke to the drivers of the recycling trucks about this, and here is their explanation:
Yes, the city accepts cardboard for recycling. It must be broken down to approximately the size of a pizza box, not simply broken down and folded flat.
Almost not worth the trouble, is it? But we still recycle because it is the right thing to do. For an updated list of what the city accepts for recycling, go to TampaGov.net, enter "curbside recycling" in the web site's search bar.
