  • February 6th: 5 K Run for Haiti in Al Lopez Park. Registration 6:30 am, run/walk starts at 8:00 am. 4810 N. Himes Avenue.
  • February 6th: Grand Opening of the Tampa Museum of Art.  Ribbon cutting at 10:30 am.
  • February 17th: Black History Month Celebration, 11:00 am at the Tampa Convention Center.
  • March 13th: Walking with the Mayor, Al Lopez Park at 8:00 am.
  • March 27th: Hillsborough County Neighborhoods Conference, 8:30 am at HCC Dale Mabry Campus.
  • April 17th: Paint Your Heart Out! Please note that we are seeking your help to submit homes that need to be painted. Please share with your civic association, churches, faith based organizations.
  • 2010 Curtis Hixon Park Calendar of Events (attached) which includes Sunset Cinema, Friday Extra Concerts, Florida Orchestra etc.
