It’s that time of year again! Florida-Friendly 101: Growing Green
Please join us to Celebrate Earth Day and learn more about Central Florida gardening on Saturday, April 24, 2010, Hillsborough Community College (HCC) Campus, Plant City, FL.
From 10 am – 2 pm experience green demonstrations: a teaching garden tour, rain barrel, composting, microirrigation, alternative vegetable gardening, green roof dog house. Activities for children include worm composting, making a bird feeder and more! Gardening books by local authors, gardening supplies and plants will be offered for sale.
In addition to the FREE outside venue, a short-course will be offered for a small registration fee ($10.00) on Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM from 8:30am – 12:15 pm on alternative vegetable gardening, safe solutions to pest problems, snakes and bats, and recent landscape regulations that may affect you and your yard.
