We've had 2 burglaries of dwellings in the past week in this grid. They appear to have happened during the daytime work hours (although I don't have the full details, yet, this is how it appears). If this is accurate, that probably means folks are casing the neighborhood to see who is home and who is absent. What can we do about it?
Keep your eyes open for suspicious persons and suspicious vehicles. Report any suspicious activity to the police. Use your telephone contact list to notify neighbors about your sightings, so that they can help keep the suspicious activity under surveillance. Ask the neighbors to also report suspicious activity to the police. Even if you aren't sure of the situation, call the police. They'd rather check it out and find out it's nothing, than have someone become a victim of any crime. If it's really innocent, then the people you thought were suspicious won't mind.
