Solid Waste Collection Schedules for the Holidays
The residential and commercial collection schedule for City of Tampa Solid Waste customers will not be affected by the holiday for the week of Monday, December 19, through Saturday, December 25, 2010.
The residential collection schedule will be affected by the New Year’s Day holiday. There will be no residential collection on Friday, December 31. Residential services will resume on the next regularly scheduled collection day.
The commercial collection schedule will not be affected. Collections will occur on both New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31, 2010 and New Year’s Day, Saturday, January 1, 2011.
The McKay Bay Transfer Station/Scalehouse and the Manhattan Brush Site will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day, and will close at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 31, New Year’s Eve. Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, January 3, 2011.
The Department of Solid Waste Christmas tree collection will begin Monday, January 3, and continue through Friday, January 7, 2011. Please remove all decorations, cut trees to no longer than four feet in length, and place them curbside on your regularly scheduled yard-waste collection day.
