They beat Kendall 6-1 for the title, and they will be heading to Warner Robins, GA for the southeast regional tournament. The Dragons are here! The International Dragon Boat Races will be in Tampa all week long. Tonight is the opening ceremonies at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park at 7 p.m. and is free to the public! Races will be from Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Seddon Channel (between Harbour and Davis Islands).
Councilman Harry Cohen has asked council to continue action on the panhandlingissue from this upcoming meeting to early September. Council Chair Charlie Miranda has been on leave due to health issues and should be back to join in the discussion by that time.
Councilwoman Montelione will be joining folks in the Hunter's Green community for their Annual National Night out Against Crime at 6 p.m at the Hunter's Green Community Park.
