There have been 3 burglary issues withn a half mile of Ola &Linebaugh just this week. People are being watched and their homes burglarized during the 30 - 45 minutes that they are out.
The holiday season is beginning, and before it gets too hectic we need to have some security measures in place and functional.
We are starting to re-institute a mobile patrol effort. If you can spare a half hour or so a couple of times per week (daylight or nighttime) to either ride or walk with another person and scout out the neighborhood, please respond to this blog, or contact me by email at Aquarius9721@VERIZON.net. The sooner we start the better.
We do not confront anyone, we only observe and report what we have seen, or call TPD to investigate as we see things happening. And if we are also TPD Mobile Patrol certified, there are some benefits that go along with it as far as being backed by the law.
To see and be seen is the greatest deterrant to crime that there is: if a criminal thinks they may be or have been noticed, they will leave our area alone & go elsewhere.
