SPEEDING

Posted in: Glenmuir
I don't have kids but someone child is going to get hurt. People drive extreamely too fast in our community. I don't understand!! And at our entrance at the Gate, drivers think that is a two lane highway also. If you are entering on either side, they try to pass you in that small area of the entrance!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!

Accident waiting to happen!!!

To add to this there are TWO stop signs as you leave this neighborhood but in the mornings a lot of residents ignore them both and speed out of here. I personally rang the sherriff's dept and they are planning on posting a traffic cop at the entrance, but can't tell me when...I would encourage anyone else that thinks this is a problem to call the OCPD and with a little pressure we may be able to get these traffic offenders ticketed so that they learn to slow down.

More Than Stop Signs

I agree that people are ''plowing'' through the stop signs, but I happen to be more concerned at the rate of speed they travel down Crestmont Glen and Ledgement Lane. I can tell you that most offenders are those that LIVE here. Are speed bumps an option?
New Speed Limit Sign

I agree Lauren, and I don't know what they're thinking. As you can see, we have our new speed limit sign posted at the front of the subdivision posting the ''Glenmuir Speed Limit 25''. The County can now come in and issue speeding tickets to anyone exceeding our limit. If you see specific cars regularly exceeding the limit you should note their tag number and call it in to the County Sherrif (the number is on our home page).
