About our association

Eastchester Gardens Residents Council

The Eastchester Gardens Residents Council primary function is to enhance the quality of life in Eastchester Gardens Housing Development
The Purpose of this organization shall be to:

1. Serve as an organization spokesman for the tenant body.

2. Welcome new tenants and help them become invoved in the development and community activities.

3.Improve the living conditions in the development and surrounding community.

4. Serve as a liason between residents and management to maintain livable conditions and proper physical standards.

5. Facilitate neighborliness among the tenants of the development.

6. Serve as liason between the tenants and community.

7. Encourage participation in community life in sponsoring, educational, cultural and recreational programs for residents and community.

8. Train potentail leaders.

9. Initiate new services in the community as needed.
