DSL issue

Thanks for the info, I look forward to hearing about it. And I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. Having dealt with USWest for a T1, I'll refrain from holding my breath ;^)

The lines where I am now don't "qualify" either, since I am unable to get out via modem higher than 28.8, I'm guessing it is because USWest multiplexed the lines due to the high growth. In a new neighborhood, after it was known that DSL is coming, multiplexing should not have been done - can you modem out at better than 28.8?

I have an in-law who works for a small ISP, their dealings with USWest are sad to frightening.

PS: have you looked into cable modems through AT&T?

You can now get @Home here in Indigo Hill - I work for AT&T Broadband and have had it for a few months now.

Most new neighborhoods already have the cable underground...its just a matter of flipping the switch, so to speak. I'm sure its a bit more complicated than that though!
