Edgemoor Neighborhood Association
October 21, 2008

Attendees: Cameron Bernard, Tom DeMint, Paul Kabala, Conrad Weiser, Kate Demint, Stan Kordeki.

No quorum this month.

Officer Parker?’s Police Report: 211 responses in the area: 4 residential and 1 attempted burglary; One Commercial burglary at Puryear Park; One dog theft. (Pit Bull returned on his own.)

Last month?’s minutes were not approved, due to a lack of a quorum.
$883.68 in the account, with no outstanding

Several suggestions were made about the newsletter. Using Constant Contact as a source to distribute information about the association. One great idea that was encouraged was to send out the newsletter by E-mail. An idea of hand-delivering a post card with a request to receive the newsletter by E-mail was mentioned. A cost analysis is needed, Tom. Cameron will bring ideas from Constant Contact to the next meeting. Signs with the E-mail address to alert neighbors to the meeting times can be attached to the ?“duck?” signs.
No membership information.
No Halloween festivities in Triangle Park this year.
No information about the Poker Tournament.
October is the time to nominate for November?’s voting meeting. New board of directors will begin in January. Stan Kordeki wants to run for president. Cameron Bernard is also willing to serve another term. The current board is able to run again, but is also encouraged to seek replacements. Tom DeMint is willing to run for VP; Gail George-Coppens is willing to run for secretary. Richard Kirby is nominated for treasurer. Kate Devine will run for Board of Directors. The November meeting is November 18.
