Spring is in the air and closer to average rainfall have brought the alleys to life. Despite efforts to inform people of their responsibilites the alleys go largely unmaintained. In my nearly 20 years here none of the 3 adjoining neighbors (ElChapparal side) has ever contributed to the alley maintenance.
Not that I expect anything, One has let her fence fall down. Another built a new fence just inside the old one so it could just fall in the alley. The third just tosses his tree trimmings over to complicate matters for the guy that mows.
The folks in the new houses on Ayrshire have done nothing to help. So it is somewhat understandable that the few dedicated residents that live on the El Chaparal side have given up too. I do understand that not everyone is able to run a lawnmower but using the alley for a dump is unacceptable.
Please try to help out, Obviously it is a utility easment but kids from the Elementary School use it too. Better visability is better security.
Cheers
Doug
