Leonhardt Road needs some attention: good consistent mowing, trash pick-up.

The fences are old and it is time for all of us to take a good look at our fences.

The property owners adjacent to Leonhardt Road are legally responsible for keeping the area between their fence and the road mowed and cleaned up.  However, this does not apply to the area along Leonhardt where the wide deep drainage ditch is located. 

If the grass is not mowed, the city can give a citation to these property owners, but the code enforcement officers who issue the citations tend to be very lenient on this issue.   Public Works will cut this grass a couple times a year as a courtesy.  

 Fence repair is also the responsibility of the individual property owners and fallen fences are also a code issue and the owners of the fence are subject to receiving a citation if the fence is not repaired.

I noticed that Leonhardt had finally been mowed!  A huge thanks to the responsible party/parties!
