The city's hazardous waste drop-off site has new service hours. Located off of Culebra Road just inside Loop 410, the harzardous waste drop-off site is now open on Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
The city is considering opening a harzardous waste drop-off site in District 10. Like the Culebra Road location, this would be a place for citizens to drop off harzardous waste such as paint, auto fluids, household cleaners, insecticides, and other chemicals. The waste collected at the site is temporarily stored before being shipped off to other recycling or disposal locations.
