I spoke with a contractor Saturday who wanted to push a trail across my property. He insisted that even though the utility companies had installed boxes in his original planned route, he was entitled to move farther onto my property to put in his trail.
I'm concerned on a couple of fronts, one the infringement on my rights as the land owner - he wanted to work beyond the easement, and two the fact that the trails they are putting in are going to become weed infested eyesores unless they are sprayed regularly with a herbicide and I don't want toxics spayed on the property to run off with the next rain.
