I am not the same person that Mrs. Ames spoke of. I would love to get a job with the school after my son starts. Even if it was to clean the floors, it would be worth it to be on his same schedule. Have you viewed the EMCS website? They have a lot of information about the tuition regarding assistance. Speaking of schools, there is a website www.greatschools.netthat list the test scores for each public school in Alabama. You will see that Wetumpka has higher scores than most of your Montgomery public schools. I wish they listed private schools. Also, the Magnet schools in Montgomery were the only schools in that area with a perfect score. Wetumpka is building a new school about 5-10 minutes away from Emerald Mountain, the new Redland Elementary school. From what I have heard they plan on adding a high school there as well. I think the construction will be complete in 2009/2010. I am sure you can do a search on "Redland Elementary School Wetumpka Alabama" on the internet to find out more information. Just a thought before you enroll your children into one of the other Wetumpka schools. Depending on the completion date you may have to enroll them in the other school anyway. I really want my son to start when he is 4 and wish they had a 3 year program as well. I feel the same way about sending my child to a preschool program as you do about your child. I have been a stay at home mom since my child turn 9 months old. Fortunately I have been able to stay on as a contract employee to work on an as needed basis here and there which really helps out. Thankfully my mother-in-law whatches our child when I work. I hope you are able to find the right school for your family. I am still going to call the lady about the Paydates this week and will keep you and your family informed on what I find out. If you have not guessed, I am the one who left the message about the 3 year old boy who loves trains :)
