Encino Forest

Encino Forest is a community of 111 homes located approximately 2 miles east of the intersection of Highway 281 and Encino Rio Road (one mile north of Loop 1604). Recent homes sold in Encino Forest have ranged in price from $115,000 to $139,000.

Developed in two phases in the late 1980's and resuming in the early 1990's, the neighborhood features contemporary three and four bedroom homes ranging from 1900 to 3200 square feet. Builders include U.S. Homes, Gordon Hartmann, and KB Homes. The neighborhood was built out in 1994, with one lot currently available for development.

The association was formed in 1987. The Association is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Encino Forest is located within the city limits of San Antonio in Bexar County. It is in City Council District 9 and County Precinct 3.

Encino Forest children attend schools located in the North East Independent School District. Specifically, Encino Forest is served by Encino Park Elementary School, Frank Tejeda Middle School, and Ronald Reagan High School. Children are within walking distance for both Encino Park and Tejeda schools, with bus service provided to Reagan.

Encino Forest HOA is a mandatory association with 111 member-homes. It has a five person, volunteer Board of Directors who serve two year terms. Board members stand for election each year at the annual meeting in January. Dues are paid annually, due no later than March 31. To be in good standing and vote at the annual meeting 1/3 of the dues needs to be received prior to its start.

There are 3 standing committees including Architectural Control, Nominating and Finance.

The Association offers the following facilities to members: a swimming pool operating from 12:00 PM -8 PM, closed on Mondays, during the May-Sept time frame; a shoot around basketball court, sand volleyball court, playground, landscaping and maintenance of common areas, and a bi-monthly newsletter.

Some of the principal activities during the year are: the Easter Egg Hunt, the community garage sale, Memorial Day pool party and 4th of July pool party.
