Encino Rio Subdivision was established in 1998 and completed in 2002. This great community has 232 families in the development with a community pool and an adjacent playground area for our residents. In 2003 electronic gates were installed at both entrances reducing non-resident traffic through the subdivision. For increased security the HOA has arranged for off duty San Antonio Police Officers who happen to live in Encino Rio to patrol the subdivision.

The board's primary purpose is to manage the Encino Rio association resources. Leadership, effective policy making, delegation of authority and the overall role of a fiduciary are the responsibilities of the Board members.
The board is the link between the owners of home and property and its organization. They manage resources such as committees, volunteers and third party contractors which include professional community management, legal counsel, risk management professionals, etc. that implement the directives of the board.
The intent is to provide transparency of all HOA business for property owners to review, discuss and participate in their neighborhood governance.
...informing and empowering constituents (property owners) to build community. This effort is broad based and flexible to include neighborhood safety, well-being, social events, celebration, and infomation about our changing neighborhood by website, newsletter, email, flyer or posters.
Needs of the residents change as we age, children grow, jobs change, health varies, friends and acquaintances relocate and new neighbors move in. All of these factors contribute to our neighborhood today and tomorrow for better or worse. As a quasi-government we need to serve and protect; but as a community we need to accomodate and support our neighbors.
