A Special welcome to all of our new members!



Several first time members have joined our ranks in response to our January general mailout. A Special welcome to all new members and thank you to all have sent in their renewals.
Official Reminder:
This is the official and final notice of overdue member-ship dues. Any renewals not received by May 13, 2003, will result in names being removed from the mailing list.

Meeting Notice:
Our next general meeting will be Tuesday May 13, 2003 at 7:00P.M. The doors will open at 6:30.
Refreshments will be served to all members at the end of the meeting.
May 13th Guest Speakers:
Gen. DeGaulle Development
A Representative from the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) will be in attendance to give us an overview of the proposed development of the 80 acre tract on Gen. DeGaulle Dr. which is to replace the Fischer Housing Project.
Sewerage and Water Board
A representative will be here to discuss our drainage issues both in our neighborhood as well as on Gen. DeGaulle Dr.

Streets Department
Our represent-ative from the Department of Public Works was unable to attend our last meeting due to his being hospitalized. The department will be sending a representative to address our concerns for the streets in our area.
Mosquito Control
We all know warm weather brings back our most loathed pests. A representative will give us an update on measures being taken to control this season?’s mosquito population.
The Arbors of English Turn
Mr. Nathan Watson of ?“The Arbors of English Turn?” will attend our meeting and give us an update on his project.
Membership Drive:
Members who bring a pro-spective member, to the next general meeting will have their names put in a drawing for a $10 gift certificate which can be redeemed at Zack?’s Frozen Yogurt Shop (a treat for all ages).
Algiers Police Advisory Council (A.P.A.C.):
A.P.A.C. is sponsoring a Crawfish Boil on May 10, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Aurora Country Club. Tickets are $10 per person. Show up and support your local police.
