Our entrances (all) need to be cleaned up--trash everywhere! Homeowners need to take the initiative and clean up. I realize most of the trash is probably coming from students at the bus stops, but it gives people a terrible first impression of SW. I live on Jaymar and daily have to pick up cigarette butts, water bottles, bags, etc. Please if your property runs along one of the entrances, pick up the trash. Thanks.

I can't agree more. I drove and picked up trash at the Joseph Drive entrance and at various point along Jaymar. The main entrance off of Old Baltimore Pike actually didn't look bad today -- I'm assuming someone recently picked up trash there. The entrance on Aspen Drive through Summer Hill is still horrible--which many Salem Woods residents use as well. While walking our dog along the loop along Jaymar to Aspen, we also pick up trash periodically. I would like to track down the individual who uses SKOAL chewing tabocco and then uses H20 brand water bottles as a spittoon. We probably pick up 5 -10 of those bottles a week!!! Bottom line, all of the trash is not result of kids. Everybody needs to do their part. |

Thanks for agreeing with me. Sometimes I wonder if I'm crazy! I, too, have picked up the chewing tabacco bottle from the front of my home. And, yes, I think someone did trash pick-up on Joseph. I've noticed that sometimes the gentleman whose driveway is on Joseph but is not a SW house has picked up trash. Perhaps a small article in the newsletter to heighten awareness regarding the trash might help. I'll send an email to one of the officers. |
