In the early morning hours of March 17, 2010 my car was stolen from in front of my house. I know for a fact that there are people who don't live in this neighborhood who pass through during the daylight hours on foot. I suppose to case the neighborhood for anything they might see available, and return for it in the late dark hours. There was an associated juvenile act: it is likely that whoever stole my car was the person or persons who removed mail from the mailboxes and scattered it in the street.
I think we need to begin photographing everyone who comes through the neighborhood on foot that we do not recognize, and perhaps we can build a catalogue of likely suspects for the continuing rash of burglaries and thefts occurring in our neighborhood.
