?• A new Treasurer was appointed ?– Kay Crook (5454 S. Hatch)
?• A draft of the new covenants was created and has been reviewed, including a review by a law firm. The goal of this revision is to help us avoid future lawsuits while protecting our water and maintaining our mountain environment.
?• All fees relating to the law suit have been paid or waved, approximately $2,500 was saved through Larry Cerrillo negotiations with the two law firms
?• The Association was required to pay court costs to Reterer?’s attorney of $3,156.40
?• Kay Crook and Lucy Landes attended a seminar on ?“Successful Covenant and Rule Enforcement?” on April 13, 2006, presented by Thomas Hindman, of HindmanSanchez, a law firm specializing in Home Owners Assoc.
?• An umbrella insurance policy has been obtained for the association, board and covenant committee members.
?• Proposals from HindmanSanchez and Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis & Payne have been received for ongoing legal services
?• A copy of the existing covenants was given to the Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS for distribution to local realtors reminding them of the 1.5 acre building site requirement
?• Recent Covenant Committee actions:
o Approved out-building structure at 6478 S. Elaine
o Denied building authorization (lot size less than 1.5 acres) at 29938 Gigi Rd.
o Approved out building structure on 30377 Isenberg lane
o Bill Mounsey attended a hearing on the inclusion of a lot on Hatch Dr. in the EVERGREEN METROPOLITAN DISTRICT
