About our association

About FOTO

FOTO is a volunteer operated neighborhood effort comprised of several independent committees. They are:

Beautification Committee
Mowing of Common Areas Committee
Cellular on Patrol Committee
Luminarias Committee
Communications Committee

Each committee is independently operated and is responsible only for its particular function. Each committee is responsible for soliciting the funds and volunteers necessary for its operations.

The cooperative for these independent efforts is FOTO and is basically unstructured and based only on the cooperation and participation of the individual committees. There are no formal memberships in FOTO or any committees. Everyone in the neighborhood may participate to the extent of his or her interest and abilities.

Prior to the formation of FOTO, TONA was the neighborhood's association. TONA was operated from 1997 to 2002. It was organized to deal with sharply increasing crime emanating from suspected gang activities in the adjacent Mud Creek area. This being the seed, the neighborhood association was formed to participate in many functions affecting our neighborhood and its residents. The independently operated committees meets this need in FOTO.
