As many of you may remember, there was an issue late last year and earlier this year about a company that proposed to purchase the Villas of Henderson Pass apartments complex. That company intended to turn the complex into a
form of a subsidized housing to which many Thousand Oaks residents voiced
opposition.
On 9/9/02 I talked to a representative of Commissioner Lyle Larson’s office
and received an update. He said as far as the Commissioner’s office new, that proposed purchase fell through due to the opposition the Commissioner
received from the Thousand Oaks Neighborhood Association, numerous Thousand Oaks residents, and also from opposition that came from Councilman David Carpenter’s office.
