Far Northwest Coalition

The City of Columbus has requested input from the Far Northwest Community on what it would like the proposed HARD ROAD medians to look like. Choices are 1)smooth concrete ; 2) stamped concrete ; 3) brick pavers ; 4) brick pavers with trees possibly no more than 100 feet apart. NOTE : A community group must step forward to trim the trees or this will not happen since Columbus does not want the maintenance.

NOTE : Bill Carter from the City of Columbus will attend a meeting at the Northwest Library to explain the options to residents on JUNE 19th at 7 PM

Hard Rd median

Paver bricks with trees would look the best and require relatively low maintenence. I already cut the grass in the front of the empty lot beside me so trimming a tree is no big deal. I am concerned about a hard median blocking access to drives that front on Hard Road especially between Linworth and the curve at the bottom the hill. There are few road that intersect here that would allow traffic to turn around and go the opposite direction.
