Illegal signs on Utility Poles and Right of Way

SIGN CLUTTER AT OUR NEIGHBOROOD ENTRANCES

At our entrances to Farley we have had a profusion of signs we like to call "Litter on a Stick" and "Tacky Tack Up Advertising" These are the ones that say "1-800 GOT JUNK" or "WE BUY HOUSES" Ads for weight loss,Viagra, etc. "Get Paid for Working AT Home", and they are EVERYWHERE!! We are now removing them from the poles and from the ground at our entrances when we find them. We encourage all residents to do the same.

We are not talking about temporary or weekend signs for garage sales that residents put out (just as long as you remember to removed them IMMEDIATELY after the sale) or Real Estate for Sale signs put in the yard by realtors or "for sale by owner" signs. These are usually not a problem.

We ask that residents NOT attach Garage Sale signs to our "FARLEY" entrance signs at Carlsen & Girls School Road and at Eleanor and 10th Street. Date your sale signs and remove promptly after the sale

What is allowed? What is not?

Bona Fide Realtors advertising homes for sale in our neighborhood, Builders Signs advertising New Homes are allowed from Friday evening until Sunday evening. They must be down before Monday AM!

All other signs are not allowed and cannot be placed on fences, poles on on right of ways.

You can help by removing illegal signs as soon as they pop up. You may legally remove them and place them in your trash.

Garage Sale Signs -Lost Pet Signs

All garage sale signs MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR SALE. THEY MAY NOT BE TACKED, NAILED OR STAPLED TO OUR "FARLEY NEIGHBORHOOD" SIGNS (PLEASE!!) If your sign does NOT have a date, it may be removed!

This also applies to "LOST PETS" signs. We will not remove "Lost Pet" signs, but ask that you remove them after and adequate amount of time has passed or after your pet has been located.
