I have settling problems as well but it's due to an improper grade next to the house.  I have cracking in the dry wall on one corner and one of the bedroom doors doesn't want to close.  This fall I will be re-grading around the house so rain water doesn't drain into the foundation and I will fix up the problems it has caused.  In all it's not a huge deal, once a foundation has settled it's done settling.  We have guys that can do work for a good price and are really handy so it won't take alot.
