I live in Linden, NC.  Small subdivision (3 streets) in Cumberland County.  The new neighbors have erected a basketball goal on the street.  I am trying to find out if there is an ordinance that prohibits this.  No one can seem to give me an answer, I have recieved a runaround from local officials to the DOT.  I listne to bouncing balls every single day, unitl 8, 9, 10 Oclock at night.  My yard is the recepticle for their cigarette butts.  We can no longer sit out front due to the continuous flow of expletives.  They trounce through the neighbors flowerbed continuously.  All the while the step dad watching but no corrections made. As night falls occasionally the cigarettes turn to dope.  Any ideas on what can be done.  I just want some peace and quiet back....... they are not the type of family open to dialogue, or receptive to hearing my concerns.

CAVEAT:  the kids take their time moving out of the way when cars drive through.  Very disrespectful group
