Does anyone know the specifics to improving, repairing, or replacing fences that are shared between 2 or more homeowners? What if there is a reluctant 'fence neighbor'? Can I be restricted from easement onto their property for the express purpose of repairing a fence?

There are also cost and removal of fence section questions.

Typically, fence maintenance/replacement expenses would be shared by both neighbors.

I'm not an attorney, so I couldn't address the easement restriction question. They have a right to their own private property that should be respected. Typically, fence upkeep benefits both neighbors, so they'd be open to having someone there for just a day or so to fix the fence. That's been my experience, at least! =)
