Somehow we who struggle to pay our mortgages got the short end of the stick when Obama gave a real break to those who didn't struggle but made excuses.

I guess better to people rather than the banks and car companies, but what about us...the good guys????

Dear Max,

How much would Pawtucket taxes go up in May or June if everyone in the city of Pawtucket who entered into bad mortgage deals, lost their homes?

I am not sure if most of those same folks are current with their taxes as well as their mortgages, but the banks have been reluctant payers too as they take over the properties even with the new RI law.

It certainly is a mixed bag, but the future of the city still seems to be a question.

Maybe we can split the city and go back to our North Providence, Seekonk roots for support.....Not serious, but we certainly need some creative solutions not just for this hurdle, but the long term growth of the city and its residents...needs to be on the front burner and not on dusty plans on the shelves.

We struggle too and not sure if it helps the city taxpayers or not...For those who need a lifeline it is great, but am sure tere are some who suck in this as a bonanza, but there are always the takers and we the givers.
