I am not familiar with HOA's, or developer run properties, so bear with me here and I could use some help.  Do homeowners, who pay fees to these entities, have the right to see a detailed readout of exactly where/to whom/how much/ect the monies we pay are spent?  If so, how do I get this as I have asked before and did not get a straight answer so if may be that I am not entitled to it?

Other question was, if you have an issue that arises with a "deed restriction" can someone actually (and I mean to the point of holding up in a court of law) put a "lein" on your house?  I ask for valid reasons, hopefully we have someone in LSF's who is more knowledgeable than I on this, and would sure like to save some money on visiting a legal consultant to figure the answers to these questions.  Thanks for any help anyone can be with this as I took "pre-law" some 20 some odd years ago in college and don't have THAT good a memory :)  Happy 4th of July to everyone!!

We receive a budget from the developers in January of each year and as for as I know they certainly can put a lein on your house for deed restriction violations and non payment of HOA fees.   I am not an attorney either, but I have heard that this does hold up in court.
