can't have it all

With all due respect, this is a superfluous argument. There is no acting president position. And one cannot be president and simultaneously president elect. Nor can one be president, be removed, and reclaim the position of president elect. This is such a convoluted idea that it exceeds all reason.

The membership has on two different occasions stated its wishes.
It is time to listen to the membership and proceed on with nominations in October and an election in November. There is nothing to bar Mr. Lange from seeking the office by declaring his candidacy in October if he is so inclined.

In Mr. Lange's ''WE NEED YOU!!!!'' hand out, motion #2 asks that he be reinstated as Vice President, which must really mean President Elect (since there is no Vice President position). So he doesn't even think he's still in that office. So where in heaven's name does this proposal of yours, Mr. Fudge, come from?

Had you been able to attend the last general membership meeting (or the June membership meeting) you would know that the membership has made itself clear on this issue.

Susan, i did not mean anything derogitory by saying that you are cleaning this issue up. I personally feel that you are looking at this in a positive way.

At the June 19th Board meeting Steve was removed as acting president. There was no language about removal as an officer of the board.

If he needs to be removed as an officer of the board than do so. Unfortunatly, I do not believe that the by laws of our association allow for the Board to change a person from President Elect to Board Director. These are elected positions.

These people were not all present at the Board meeting on June 19th. I am only requesting that the Board follow our bylaws, Roberts Rule of Order, etc. I believe that you and many of the Board members are trying to get this behind us. If we choose to not take care of details on an issue such as this, then why would we choose to do so in the future?

Steve Lange must be formerly removed as President Elect. He was not, I was there.

As far as the Attorney the Board was to hire. I received that information from a posting several months ago, from I believe Greg Burton. I could be wrong, but I think it was Greg.

Not True in this case

Normally i would agree with you. In this case the board voted, after much discussion, to have Steve Lange take over the remaining term of JF and to also remain as President Elect.

This is exactly what happened. The reason for this makes sence.
