This is a reminder of the Historic Preservation Committee meeting this evening, Thursday, July 26, 7:00 p.m. at the Palladium. St. Pete Preservation, Inc., has joined us, as have homeowners in other neighborhoods who are interested in promoting preservation. Join us! We are planning an educational seminar for Sept. and walking tours of the neighborhood.
HP Meeting Reminder

Is there anybody in NSNA that has anything to say other than SUSAN?
It is beginning to look like a one woman show!
Lots of folks

Not a one woman show, although Susan works very, very hard and has done a great job as pres this year. Steve Kipp, Jim Martin, Eileen ''O Sullivan, Jim O''Donnell, Steve Deal, Cynthia Serra, Carl Lovgren, Cathy Martin, John Rebillot, Claude Arnould Jeanne Arnould, Rick Carson, .............. can't even begin to list all the people who have been working hard to make your neigbrohood better.

As for all the anonymous postings- there's also a bunch of folks intersted. Why they don't sign their names may be the same reason I don't sign mine. I chimed in once last summer on an issue and got some real nasty stuff said in return.
So I shall remain involved, intersted and anonymous. Why are you ''anonymous''?

Communication

One important role for the NSNA President is to communicate--because I may be the one communicating about meetings, events, notices from the City, etc. does not mean that I'm involved in all of it or leading each committee. There are many great volunteers involved in all of the NSNA efforts. Here are just a few--Doug and Randy, who participated on the Garden Stroll and now the Candlelight Tour Committee; Ken G. and Julie Turner and a committee of others who have worked on the CVS traffic plan; Rick, who worked on last year's and the upcoming Candlelight Tour and on the Garden Stroll; Carl, who has worked hard on keeping the newsletter going; Jim and Cathy, very active in several arenas, and Jim has co-chaired the work on buliding a Historic Preservation committee of NSNA that has evolved into a city-wide, neighborhoods movement--Kate H. is the other co-chair; Mary Alice has worked very hard as chair of the Planning Committee to lead our revision efforts on our neighborhood plan and has done a great job, and Claude and Carey have been dedicated committee members; Frank, who handled newsletter ads for quite a while; Steve D., who chaired the Garden Stroll and Jane P. who co-chaired; Cynthia has continued to be a prominent leader and voice--she chairs Activities and Beautification and mobilizies others to help; Rob, and two Mikes are working on developing walking tours of the neighborhood; Steve K. works hard to keep up with NDR issues and has continued to follow the CVS development to insure that they keep their agreements with us; Jim O., who has been a very organized, effective, able Treasurer for several years. The list is a long one, and I apologize if I failed to mention others...Linda and Frank, Claude, Robin, Craig, Helga, Jeannie, ...
